The culture here at the Stepping Stones Group is one of involvement in the communities we serve. Our children and their families live and generally work in the areas of our settings so it is important for us to be involved at a local and where appropriate a national level. For this reason we are actively involved in a number of organisations that have meaning and purpose to what we strive to provide for our clients.
City hold a number of fund-raising activities over the course of the season including the Chairman’s Annual Charity Ball which generates significant sums of money for local groups, projects, community groups and self-help organisations. It’s a great way to have fun and get involved with important community work.
The movement now encompasses adults, and has a sister brand, Start4Life, which introduces healthy habits right from birth. Change4Life uses cartoon imagery and informal, non-judgmental language to suggest easy diet and exercise swaps. It also offers support so that our audience is more likely to make the changes they need to a healthier lifestyle.
Shelter provides free, confidential advice to people with all kinds of housing problems through their online housing information and face to face local services. Shelter lobbies government and local authorities for new laws and policies, and more investment, to improve the lives of homeless and inappropriate housing.
Their goal is clear – to promote quality in early years care and education for the benefit of children, families and the local community.
Chamber members share their knowledge with each other; which comes from real life experience and is found through person to person networking. The Chamber strongly believe in providing the platform for people to share knowledge, experience and best practices to create an enriched and interactive community
It is coordinated, resourced and delivered locally via enthusiastic local public services professionals, including health visitors, library staff and early year’s professionals and we are proud to be supporting these efforts.
The Crewe Pledge aims to foster a collaboration between schools, colleges, businesses and organisations in the Crewe area with a single aim in mind – to help young people with the transition from education into employment.
